We Read Because...

From the time they are small, children love books...they  love being read to, not only because being with someone who loves them makes them feel valued, but also because they are eager learners. They want to know all about the world around them, and to share what they do know with others.

As we grow older, we seek knowledge from books. We check facts, read maps, learn math and science and read for pleasure. We check out books to learn more about those topics about which we are curious.
