Speaking Presentations
- Living With Bipolar Disorder

I am available for speaking about my journey with bipolar depression. My husband, Gary, presents my illness from his perspective, talking about how he has educated himself, what he has done to help me and how he has managed to be the "single" parent many, many times. A presentation typically runs 25-30 minutes but I have done longer. Complete presentations, with relevant readings from Out Of Focus...Again requires 45 minutes to an hour
Testimonials
Ann Kochenberger surprised us all during our NAMI Jeffco Education Night meeting on
October 7. Ann's presentation was far more educational than any of us anticipated.
The response from members has been overwhelmingly positive.
Ann shared her personal journey through life that spans from her
very happy, healthy childhood, a wonderful marriage, social commitments and child
rearing into the depths of despair and depression from having bipolar illness.
No subject was off limits and our community appreciated her sincerity, honesty,
ability to maintain a sense of humor and openly discuss her journey
into hopefulness and a healthy life. She opened the floor to questions
following her presentation and the audience felt Ann's sincere
concern and desire to help others in her compassionate and thoughtful answers.
Thank you, Ann, for offering support and help to others when it is so desperately needed!

I saw your presentation through SPCC (Suicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado)
online and have immense respect for you. I have BP 2 as well and you have
hit my nail on the head! I am hoping SPCC has taped your presentation so that
I can show my husband to help him understand. Thank you for your
comments and your bravery.
I so appreciate your honesty and your candidness.

The Reality of the Marriage Commitment
My husband, Gary, and I conduct a presentation in which we talk about the strains that a chronic illness puts, not only on a marriage but on the family unit as a whole. We believe that marriage is forever and hope that by allowing our audience a candid look into how mental illness has affected our family, our story will impact others who are questioning their ability to remain in their marriages.
Testimonials
Ann's presentation to theSuicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado was both thoughtful and thought-provoking. Her personal experiences, combined with her wealth of factual information about bipolar disorder and other mental health issues, were inspiring. She took a difficult topic, spoke from the heart, sprinkled with humor and kept us comfortably discussing an important but uncomfortable subject. Anyone who is looking for a speaker who can bring to life the story of SPD, with carefully researched facts, should consider Ann and her husband, Gary.
Note - These presentations are not exclusive of one another, but emphasis is placed upon the topic we are presenting.
